Historical Society Spring Festival
Sunday, May 28  12-3 pm

Join us after the Memorial Day parade in Whately (starting at 11am) for a fun time.  Storytelling with Davis Bates.  Music from the MilkBottle.  Hotdogs and hamburgers and more food.  Free ice cream from our own Milk Bottle.  Specialties on sale. And most of all, the premiere of our new exhibit, Bygone Whately, featuring photos, documents and objects from Whately's past and a special showing of quilts from the collection.

how building I91 changed Western MA

The Whately and Hatfield Historical Societies are jointly sponsoring a slide presentation by Bernardston resident and storyteller Barry Dietz on the building of Interstate 91 and the impact of its construction on the Valley.

The session is free and all are invited.  The church is handicapped accessible.  Refreshments will be served.

This talk replaces the regular '1st Thursday' meeting of the Historical Society in March.



The Historical Society meets at 7 pm on the first Thursday of the month (except during January and July) at the museum*.   Refreshments are served and visitors are welcome.


*The Society's Museum Room is not handicapped accessible.
